I am an engineer-turned-ecologist interested in studying and conserving the tropical rivers of the Western Ghats of India. Currently, I am a PhD candidate in the Integrative Conservation (ICON) and Ecology PhD program, Odum School of Ecology, University of Georgia. I am a research affiliate at the River Basin Center, and I am advised by Dr. Seth Wenger. I am an alumnus of the WCS-NCBS Master's in Wildlife Biology and Conservation Program.
My research aims to understand the physical, ecological and human dimensions of change linked to hydropower dams. To do this, I use an interdisciplinary approach, combining remote sensing, hydrology, freshwater ecology and social-ecological systems. I am interested in applying my research to make hydropower development and planning more equitable, sustainable and accountable. You can read more about my work in the Research tab |
